I have a question. I’m looking to create a custom map for one of the F.E.A.R expansions. Either Extraction point or Perseus Mandate. I’m interested in creating a singleplayer map with the new weapons/enemies they added. How would I do so?

What do you have in mind? Do you need help with anything specific?

I’m interested in making a singleplayer map to Perseus Mandate (mostly just to see if I could). However the game’s arch00 files don’t have a .dep file so I’m wondering how do I create maps using worldedit.

Everything that goes beyond the first part of FEAR has no support from the developers, so we add missing characters and weapons to the game ourselves, some elements are still not available for now, my friend now adds and redesigns models from FEAR 2 project origin.

Ah okay. So I have to add models and weapons from the expansion back into the vanilla game?

Unfortunately this is a very laborious process, and in a nutshell it can not be described, I worked very long on this (about 4-5 years), not always of course, there are some nuances, let’s say different versions of files, our editor is not able to see the effects files created For add-ons.
Start by mastering the main programs from the kit. I do not speak English, I’m Russian, so I can not shoot a video tutorial in English. You can go to my channel, there is a couple of videos. https://www.youtube.com/user/edvardoalvares89

There are a lot of subtleties about adding elements to the database, I would recommend first to master the worlds editor and look at how the database GDBedit is constructed, after that I could write how to add something simple, since my data does not succumb to the transfer to another SDK, I can not send you my innovations.

On the other hand, there’s a branch of FEAR’s SEC2 focused on bring support for Mods and Expansions right into the game, without need to launch the game with different shortcuts. It whould be almost complete If It wasn’t because I had to focus on fixing the existing hacks on the wild.
Here you can see an early development test:

Hi Fred! How is it going? Do you have specialists there to work with FXEditor?

I want to learn how to make high-quality effects of fire and explosions, until it turns out, one thing I realized, large and high-quality effects are collected from several ready-made ones and are selected from the list randomly.

Just back after a long hiatus and was wondering if anyone has managed to export any character models from Extraction Point into the SDK. Specifically, I’d like to use the Phantom Nurse in a single-player map I’m working on. All I’d need is the idle animation as in my map her only function would be to convey a piece of information to the player then vanish.
I had a set of instructions on how to export enemies from years ago but I could never get it to work with the nurse. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My friend and I added even the characters from the project origin, though we need some finalization, but progress is progress, it can not be stopped.

If you have the nurse from Extraction Point would you be able to post it somewhere so I can download it and put it into the SDK? Thanks.

Unfortunately it’s not so simple as making a sandwich, then you need to make it into the database. Today it’s too late, I’ll tell you tomorrow how to do it.

Greetings. Download the archive and add it to your SDK folder, then go to the GDBEditor and compile the database, there should be no mistakes, if everything goes well, then in the world editor you will find a nurse. If you have problems then write.

I now have the nurse in World Edit. Thanks for the help. My only remaining question is if this model has an idling animation or is static. I recompiled both the FEAR database and the animation database but the nurse just stands still. Also, can this model be accessed by ModelEdit? Thanks again.

As far as I know she does not have game animations, she seems to be used only in cutscenes, and for the model editor, I do not have the source (
